Khmelnytskyi National University has once again been included in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026, improving its position among universities worldwide and in Ukraine.
According to the rankings, KhNU placed:
1307th worldwide
18th among Ukrainian universities
Compared with the 2025 results, when KhNU ranked 1427th worldwide and 22nd among Ukrainian higher education institutions, the University has climbed 120 places in the global rankings and 4 places among Ukrainian universities..
UI GreenMetric World University Rankings is an international ranking launched by the University of Indonesia in 2010. It assesses the contribution of higher education institutions to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. The ranking focuses on universities’ policies and practical measures to make their campuses greener, manage resources and integrate environmental research into the educational process.
KhNU’s participation in UI GreenMetric is part of the University’s ongoing efforts to develop a sustainable and environmentally responsible educational environment. Its improved ranking reflects the consistent implementation of relevant practices and the attention paid to sustainable development across university activities.
KhNU’s latest result marks another step towards creating a comfortable, responsible and sustainable university environment.
