Project Theme: Research on common bird species in Ukraine, Poland, and the Czech Republic.
Project objective: To study bird species inhabiting the three countries, explore their habitats, migration routes, and environmental conditions, and develop a shared trilingual bird species glossary for Ukraine, Poland, and the Czech Republic aimed at supporting biodiversity conservation.
Project Description: The project "Study of Common Ornithological Species in Ukraine, Poland, and the Czech Republic" focuses on the identification and study of birds across the three nations. Activities include:
- Identification of common bird species
- Research on habitats, migration patterns, and environmental conditions
- Development of a joint glossary of bird names in Ukrainian, Polish, and Czech
- Analysis of ornithological data
- Field visits to bird habitats, including photography and observational records
- Formal project launch with welcome addresses
Expected Results:
- Scientific contribution to the study of common bird species
- Increased awareness of birds’ ecological environments
- Creation of a shared trilingual bird glossary
- Development of a joint glossary of bird names in Ukrainian, Polish, and Czech
- International harmonisation of ornithological nomenclature
