Project goal and objectives:

  • To create a multi-level system of training and professional development of teachers and educational managers to work with heterogeneous groups and organizations within the international consortium;
  • To develop an international network of partner universities that ensures high-quality education through open access of students to the best educational modules and resources available in the network;
  • To develop modular thematic clusters on heterogeneity issues for the bachelor's degree program in pedagogy;
  • To develop a specialization in "Educational Management in Heterogeneous Organizations" for the Master's degree program;
  • To design a modular training program for teachers and educational managers working with heterogeneous groups and organizations;
  • To create international tandems of supervisors of graduate students researching pedagogy and management of heterogeneous environments;
  • To form a regional community of social partners for the integration of problematic groups into society;
  • To create an inclusive educational environment at partner universities.

Areas of activity in the frames of the project:

  • Creation, opening and operation of Competence Centers for Inclusive Education;
  • Conducting a sociological study of heterogeneous groups of pupils and students to identify their particular needs;
  • Developing and testing the training modules on specific topics in universities of different regions of Ukraine (at the bachelor's and master's levels and within the framework of professional development programs for teachers and educational managers);
  • Supervising the graduate student's research on the issues in question;
  • Internships for teachers - developers of training modules in European partner universities;
  • Participation in scientific conferences and seminars of the project partner universities;
  • Organizing and conducting language courses for project participants;
  • Developing a strategic plan for the development of inclusive education in the regions;
  • Publication of scientific articles on project issues in leading scientific journals;
  • Popularization of the results of the project teams' work in the education system at different levels (city, district, region, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine).

Expected results:

  1. Creation of research units on teaching in a heterogeneous educational environment.
  2. Identification of special educational needs of pupils and students from heterogeneous groups. (Development of a catalog of competencies for teachers and educational managers to work with heterogeneous groups and organizations.)
  3. Development of modular thematic clusters in teacher education in a heterogeneous environment for bachelor's, master's, postgraduate, and in-service training programs for teachers and educational managers; integration of these modules into the training system at partner universities.
  4. Publication of a book of modules for bachelor's and master's programs.
  5. Participation in international conferences organized by partner universities. (Development of a strategic plan for developing inclusive education in different regions.)
