Project objective: To address the shortage of qualified professionals in 3D fashion education in Ukraine by establishing 3D concept centers at Ukrainian higher education institutions (HEIs) and developing a highly skilled workforce for the light industry. The project aims to internationalize and modernize Ukrainian fashion education by aligning it with contemporary global trends.

Project tasks:

  1. Establish and equip three 3D Concept Centers at Ukrainian HEIs with 3D modeling and prototyping tools.
  2. Train 15 faculty members from Ukrainian HEIs in 3D technologies at EU partner universities.
  3. Develop and/or modernise at least six semester-long courses on 3d concepts for fashion education in Ukraine.
  4. Design one standardised continuing education curriculum for professionals working in the fashion industry.
  5. Implement six pilot 3D-based projects at each participating Ukrainian faculty.
  6. Train 100 senior undergraduate and master’s students using the newly developed/updated courses.
  7. Host targeted workshops to introduce 3D concepts to 50 fashion or management professionals from other Ukrainian HEIs.

The 3D4U Project Will:

  1. Develop a skilled and experienced talent pool in the 3D fashion design sector in Ukraine.
  2. Foster knowledge generation through basic and applied research in 3D concepts.
  3. Support the design of fashion industry products using textiles and leather with 3D technologies.
  4. Enhance competencies, build capacity, and offer training for innovation, startups, and early-stage fashion entrepreneurs.
  5. Promote the internationalisation and modernisation of Ukrainian HEIS through integration into the global contemporary fashion education landscape.
