The Clotex-HUB Team Joined the Future Fashion Forum – A Space for Innovation and the Digital Future of Fashion

The Clotex-HUB team participated in the large-scale Future Fashion Forum — the first interactive platform in Ukraine dedicated to exploring the future of the fashion industry, digital technologies, sustainable development, and fashion innovations. The event took place on May 9–10 in Lviv and brought together designers, scientists, futurists, business representatives, and members of the educational sector.

Future Fashion Forum became a platform for discussing the key challenges and trends of the modern fashion industry — from the influence of artificial intelligence and digital technologies to the ecological transformation of production, circular fashion, wearable technologies, and biodesign.

Students from two departments of Khmelnytskyi National University — the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Technology and Design of Garments — also participated in the event by presenting their own scientific projects initiated during TECHSTYLE HACKATHON 2025.

A representative of the HackNeedle team, participant Anastasiia Shcherbakova (ШВ-24-1), presented a developed 3D model of a sewing machine implemented in animation and created for the visual study of the operating principles of individual sewing machine components.

A representative of the Chronologic team, participant Alona Nechetaieva (ШВ-22-1), presented an algorithm for automatically sorting technological operations for garment component processing in the correct sequence. A technical solution for automated selection and sequencing of operations was also demonstrated.

Team representatives, students Maksim Shurypa (КНм-25-1) and Kostiantyn Lianskorunskyi (КН-23-1), presented the FitMeasure AI project — a web-oriented information system for the automated measurement of human body dimensions based on photographs.

Olha Zalutska (КНас-25-1) presented the AI_SortX startup — an intelligent system for sorting post-industrial textile waste.

Among the forum speakers was Clotex-HUB project coordinator Oksana Zakharkevych, who presented the results of the digital hub's first year of activity in the light industry sector. In her presentation, she emphasised the importance of digital transformation of light industry enterprises, the implementation of modern technologies, the development of digital competencies, and support for small and medium-sized businesses.

During the forum, the Clotex-HUB team presented the hub’s opportunities for Ukrainian enterprises, including:

  • digitalization of production processes;
  • access to modern technological infrastructure;
  • training and retraining of specialists;
  • mentoring support;
  • promotion of international cooperation and grant opportunities;
  • development of innovations in the field of fashion-tech (CLOTEXHUB)

Throughout the forum, team members also promoted educational opportunities within various academic programs at Khmelnytskyi National University, particularly the program “Design and Technologies of Garments” and the new program “Digital Technologies of Garment Manufacturing”.

Participation in the Future Fashion Forum became an important opportunity for the Clotex-HUB team to expand partnership relations, promote digital solutions in the light industry sector, and integrate the Ukrainian fashion industry into the European innovation space.

Clotex-HUB continues to actively shape the ecosystem of digital innovations in the light industry sector by supporting the development of modern technologies, sustainable production, and new approaches to training specialists for the fashion industry of the future.
