Svitlana Korol, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Language Education and Intercultural Communication of KhNU, is undergoing an internship at the University of Greifswald (Germany), namely at the Institute of German Philology, whose main areas of activity, both in education and research, are Germanic linguistics, modern German literature, teaching German language and literature, in particular, German as a foreign language (from 01.05.22 to 31.07.22). The basis of the planned research activity is a comparative analysis of the professional training of future foreign language teachers in Ukrainian and German universities.
During the internship, the teacher of the German language has the opportunity to attend classes taught by foreign colleagues, discuss with them key issues related to the professional training of future teachers of the German language, join joint events of the educational process, work with materials from the library collection of the University of Greifswald, participate in scientific discussions and socially relevant events. This scientific and pedagogical internship allows to gain new experience in teaching professional disciplines during the professional training of foreign language teachers, expand the research prospects and establish contacts with the academic staff of the German university.
