Final Training of the "3R SheLeader: Resilience, Resourcefulness, Resultfulness" Series – Developing Women Leaders’ Stability in Times of Change

On October 16, the third training session for women leaders in the field of higher education took place as part of the international project “3R SheLeader: Resilience, Resourcefulness, Resultfulness.” The project was implemented in partnership with Khmelnytskyi National University (KhNU) and Bangor University (Wales, UK), with the support of the British Council.

The meeting was dedicated to the theme of Resilience—the ability of women leaders to maintain effectiveness, motivation, and inner balance in conditions of uncertainty and change. During the training, participants explored resilience in leadership, defined the key competencies of stable leaders, and studied practical strategies for building both personal and team stability.

Kateryna Skyba, Vice-Rector for Research and Educational Affairs at Khmelnytskyi National University, conducted the training. She focused on how resilience helps leaders support their teams, overcome professional challenges, and maintain motivation during times of crisis. Participants worked in small groups, discussed their own experiences of overcoming difficulties, shared effective self-support tools, and developed individual resilience development plans.

A significant part of the program was the "Resilience in Action" panel discussion, during which three representatives from the academic world and civil society presented their stories of leadership and resilience:

Larysa Ponomarenko, Assistant to the Rector for International Relations and Strategic Development and Acting Director of the Office of Academic, Scientific Activity, and International Cooperation at Kherson National Technical University, shared her experience in building institutional stability and international cooperation under military challenges.

Alla Krasulia, Associate Professor at the Department of Germanic Philology and Head of the International Relations Office at Sumy State University, spoke about team recovery after the destruction of university premises due to missile attacks and the power of a community that continues its work even under shelling. Her story served as an example of unbroken spirit, empathetic leadership, and dedication to the educational mission.

Yelyzaveta Boryskina, a civil sector leader and political advocate with many years of experience in international cooperation, social justice, and gender equality, emphasised the importance of active participation of women and youth in the processes of peacebuilding, inclusion, and sustainable development.

Their speeches were a source of inspiration for the training participants, demonstrating that true resilience is founded on courage, mutual support, and a deep belief in the power of collective action.

The final stage of the training was the "Reflection into Action" session, where participants summarised the knowledge gained and formulated individual action plans for developing resilience, aimed at increasing their own effectiveness and supporting their teams.

Summary of the "3R SheLeader" Training Series

The three training sessions of the program—Resourcefulness, Resultfulness, and Resilience—contributed to the development of women's leadership in higher education, combining self-awareness, efficiency, and stability.

During the first training, on Resourcefulness, participants explored their internal resources, emotional intelligence, and communication skills necessary for developing leadership potential. The second training, focused on Resultfulness, helped participants build skills for effective team management, conscious leadership, and achieving significant results. The final training on Resilience was a logical conclusion to the series, aimed at developing the ability to act confidently, maintaining stability and trust even in difficult circumstances.

The training series has now concluded, but the mentoring program for women leaders continues, with representatives from Khmelnytskyi National University actively participating. The program is aimed at supporting professional development, strengthening leadership potential, and building international academic ties.

Khmelnytskyi National University expresses sincere gratitude to Bangor University (Wales) and the British Council for supporting this initiative, which inspires women to develop a new generation of leadership—responsible, resilient, and resultfulness-oriented.
