Teachers, students and alums of Khmelnytskyi National University actively participated in the events related to the delegation's visit from Utah (USA). Senior Lecturer of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation Studies Denys Dmytroshkin, together with 4th-year students Viktoriia Redko, Viktoriia Kachynska and Dmytro Mitsiuk, provided translation during the visit of the American delegation. In particular, Denys Dmytroshkin and student Viktoriia Redkoo worked as interpreters on the live TV channel tv7+, where they translated interviews with representatives of the August Mission, a Utah state senator and the head of the regional administration. Student Dmytro Mitsiuk translated at a hospital for veterans, ensuring communication between hospital staff, military personnel undergoing treatment there and guests from Utah, and helped to conduct a visit to wards, rehabilitation and surgery departments. Dmytro's groupmate, Victoria Kachinska, joined the delegation to visit the humanitarian centre in Starokostiantýniv, where American philanthropists delivered aid and talked to people forced to leave their homes due to Russian aggression. In addition to the 4th year students, the 3rd year student Olha Uspenska actively contributed to the presentation of the Khmelnytskyi region to the foreign guests by voicing a video about the region in English.
Khmelnytskyi National University is also proud of its alums who were directly involved in organising the visit of distinguished guests from the United States. For example, Mykhailo Kaliniichuk skilfully and professionally translated the official meeting of the chairman of the state regional council, Violeta Labaziuk, with a delegation from Utah. Vadym Basystyi, one of the first graduates of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation Studies, coordinated and logistically supported the delegation, provided translation and organised meetings.
Thus, Khmelnytskyi National University contributed to the establishment of international relations in the Khmelnytskyi region and proved once again that it is a leading higher education institution that provides human resources for the Khmelnytskyi region and is always ready to contribute to the development of its native land.
