Teaching Mobility at Mendel University in Brno (Brno, Czech Republic)

From February 24 to February 28, 2025, Serhii Lysenko, Professor at the Department of Computer Engineering and Information Systems (CEIS), conducted teaching mobility under the ERASMUS+ KA171 Mobility Project for Higher Education Students and Staff at Mendel University in Brno (Czech Republic).

The purpose of the trip was to teach academic disciplines (teaching mobility, STA) to improve teaching quality and adapt to international educational standards, exchange knowledge and best practices in teaching, and strengthen academic ties between universities.

As a result of the mobility, the lecturer achieved the following:

  1. Enhanced Teaching Excellence: Familiarisation with various teaching methodologies and best practices of the host institution improved pedagogical approaches and innovations in course delivery.
  2.  Expanded International Cooperation and Network: Establishing professional connections with academics from the host institution fostered research collaboration, joint projects, and co-authorship in scientific publications.
  3.  Acquired Intercultural Competence: Interaction with a diverse academic environment increased adaptability, communication, and cultural awareness, which is valuable in a globalised education system.
  4. Developed and Modernised Curricula: Knowledge gained during the exchange will be integrated into the Khmelnytskyi National University curriculum, ensuring compliance with international academic standards and industry trends.
  5. Increased Motivation and Career Growth: Participation in the Erasmus+ program contributes to increased professional motivation and improves career prospects through expanded academic experience and qualifications.
  6. Improved Soft Skills in Foreign Language Communication.
