On April 16, 2025, Khmelnytskyi National University hosted the online webinar “Inspiring Business Case Studies” — a standout event on the calendar of international educational initiatives.
The event brought together students, faculty members, and everyone eager to deepen their knowledge in business, entrepreneurship, and creative thinking.
The webinar was organised within the framework of the international INSPIRE project, which aims to empower refugees by equipping them with the skills necessary to start and run successful tourism-related businesses, with a focus on innovation and entrepreneurship. The goal of the webinar was to raise students’ awareness of how to build a business and develop entrepreneurial ideas in a global context.

The guest speaker was Anthony Johnston, a representative of the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) — one of Ireland’s leading technological universities. Mr. Johnston shared insights from his experience in academia and spoke about his university as a dynamic and modern institution focused on practical education, innovation, and strong collaboration with the business sector.
Participants also gained insights into Ireland, a country known for its strong support of innovation, the creative economy, and international academic exchanges.

A key element of the webinar was the active engagement of the audience: students and faculty eagerly participated in discussions, responded to questions, and joined live polls.
To enhance interactivity, the organisers divided participants into teams for “brainstorming” sessions, where they collaborated to generate creative ideas, analyse real business cases, and develop their concepts. This activity not only stimulated critical thinking and imagination but also promoted intercultural communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Attendees noted that the format was highly engaging, inspirational, and hands-on.

At the conclusion of the webinar, all participants received a digital badge issued by the Technological University of the Shannon — a mark of international recognition for participating in the educational event, which serves as a valuable addition to a CV or professional portfolio. Digital badges are a modern tool for certifying skills and accomplishments, valued across both education and business sectors.

We extend our sincere thanks to Anthony Johnston for his highly professional, inspiring, and accessible presentation, as well as for his willingness to share his expertise and motivate young people to find their path in business and the creative industries.
The event was conducted at a high level, leaving participants with vivid impressions, new knowledge, and fresh ideas for future initiatives. We look forward to upcoming joint educational projects and thank everyone who contributed to the organisation and participation in the webinar!
