From January 19 to 23, 2026, Olha Pavlova, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Information Systems, took part in an international training on Psychological First Aid held in Chișinău (Moldova) within the framework of the Erasmus+ PACT project – Psychological First Aid and Creative Techniques.
The training brought together participants from eight European countries—Italy, Spain, Greece, Lithuania, Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine, and Moldova—creating a valuable platform for intercultural exchange, professional dialogue, and joint reflection on current challenges in youth mental health.
The PACT project, funded by the European Union, aims to strengthen professionals' capacity to work with young people by integrating Psychological First Aid (PFA), psychoeducation, and creative practices. Particular emphasis is placed on working in crisis and unstable environments, developing resilience, and ensuring the responsible use of creative methods to support mental well-being.
During the training, participants:
- acquired practical approaches to providing Psychological First Aid;
- worked with tools of creative and reflective techniques;
- discussed ethical aspects of working with young people’s emotional states;
- exchanged experiences with representatives of educational institutions and civil society organisations from various European countries.
Participation in the event marked an important step in enhancing the department’s competencies in mental health support, which is especially relevant in today’s social and educational context.
We sincerely thank the NGO “Young Agents of Change” for organising the event, providing the opportunity to join the international Erasmus+ PACT project, and creating a safe and professional environment for learning, experience sharing, and cooperation.
