Participation of Tetyana Hovorushchenko and Olha Pavlova in the final meeting of the NAWA GRUA Education project

On November 25-29, 2024, Tetyana Hovorushchenko, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, and Olha Pavlova, Acting Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Information Systems, took part in the final meeting of the NAWA GTUA Education project, which was held at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Wrocław, Poland.

During the visit, Tetyana Hovorushchenko and Olha Pavlova attended an extremely interesting and useful lecture entitled "Sustainability: what do we have to do next?" by Prof. Steve Evans, Director of the Sustainable Development Research Unit at the University of Cambridge. During the lecture, Prof. Evans discussed actions that can be taken in the near future and in the future to reduce the harmful effects of global industry and advance the idea of a world-friendly economy.

A lot of attention at the NAWA GTUA Education project working meetings was paid not only to green transformations and social responsibility of Ukrainian universities in achieving sustainable development goals, but also to the development of microcredentials in Ukrainian higher education. A two-day seminar on microcredentials was held especially for project participants by Professor Ernst Kreutzer from Graz University of Technology (Austria).

In addition, Ivan Nazarov and Bohdan Morklianyk, deputy heads of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance, held a very useful roundtable discussion with project participants on mechanisms to ensure the quality of microcredentials.

At the end of the event, Tetyana Hovorushchenko and Olha Pavlova presented all members of the consortium with New Year’s decorations handmade by the team of Khmelnytskyi National University during a recent master class held as part of the NAWA GTUA Education project.
