As part of the NAWA Edu-GTUA project, students from the CEIS Department participated in short-term academic mobility.
From September 16 to 21, the "Green Innovations and Sustainable Development" summer school took place at Wrocław University of Science and Technology (Wrocław, Poland), attended by 65 students from participating Ukrainian higher education institutions.
From Khmelnytskyi National University, 10 female students from the CEIS Department, studying under the educational programs "Computer Engineering and Programming" and "Information Systems and Technologies," took part:
– Alina Hnatchuk – first-year PhD student in "Information Systems and Technologies.";
– Valeriia Shvaiko and Yuliia Ilchyshyna – first-year Master’s students in “Computer Engineering and Programming.”
– Inna Kuzminska and Amina Protsun – fourth-year Bachelor’s students in "Computer Engineering and Programming."
– Sofiia Syrota, Anastasiia Kotyk, and Olesiia Bosa – third-year Bachelor’s students in “Computer Engineering and Programming.”
– Mariia Mamontova – second-year Bachelor's student in "Computer Engineering and Programming”, and Viktoriia Zhylkova – second-year Bachelor's student in "Information Systems and Technology”."
Over 6 days, students completed a 60-hour course that included 14 disciplines:
– Design Thinking for Innovations in the 21st Century (Lecturer: Prof. Yash Chavla)
– Sustainable Design (Lecturer: Adam Drozdowski) – Green Business Models (Lecturer: Dr. Anna-Maria Kaminska)
– Green Project Management (Lecturer: Agata Klaus-Rosinska)
– Smart Cities and Urban Planning, Management, and Technologies (Lecturer: Anna Lamek)
– Many Eyes – One City (Lecturer: Marta Rusnak)
– Innovative Manufacturing (3D Printing as Part of Digital and Green Transformation of Manufacturing) (Lecturer: Iryna Smolina)
– Methodology for Calculating Carbon Footprint (Lecturer: Anna Vozna)
– Green Transport and Infrastructure (Lecturer: Emilia Skupien)
– 15-Minute City (Lecturer: Emilia Skupien)
– Blue-Green Infrastructure as a Response to Climate Change (Lecturer: Marcin Wdowikowski)
– Sustainable Development Goals (Lecturer: Yevheniia Holysheva)
– Environmental Preservation Cost Calculations (Lecturer: Tetiana Pasko)
– Blue Economy and Entrepreneurship (Lecturer: Agnieszka Parkitna)
For convenience, students were divided into 4 groups for classes. During the sessions, students had the opportunity to attend lectures and work in teams on generating ideas and creating joint mini-projects.
Upon completion of the courses, all summer school participants received certificates.
In their free time, the students visited the Wrocław Zoo, the city centre – Market Square, and Cathedral Island (Ostrów Tumski).
