The team from Khmelnytskyi National University, consisting of Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Information Systems Tetyana Hovorushchenko; Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Engineering and Information Systems Olha Pavlova; and Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Engineering and Information Systems Iryna Zasornova, has begun work on a new project, NAWA Education for Green Transition (NAWA GTUA-EDU), which is a synergistic continuation of the NAWA project. Computer Engineering and Information Systems has begun work on a new project, NAWA Education for Green Transition (NAWA GTUA-EDU), which is a synergistic continuation of the successfully completed project NAWA Green Transitions in Ukrainian Universities. Wrocław University of Science and Technology is once again coordinating the project.
In particular, on March 11–15, 2024, a kick-off meeting for the NAWA Education for Green Transition (NAWA GTUA-EDU) project was held at Wrocław University of Science and Technology (Wrocław Polytechnic), attended by Tetyana Hovorushchenko and Olha Pavlova.
The kick-off meeting discussed the project's tasks and activities, in particular, improving the green standards developed in the previous project, ensuring the quality of educational programs in the context of green transformations, etc. The role of Ukrainian higher education in green transformation and in achieving the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals was also discussed. At the end of the meeting, the team from each of the partner universities presented the role of their university in green transformation in a pecha kucha format (https://www.pechakucha.com/).
As a result of the kick-off meeting, the Khmelnytskyi National University team received new tasks and formed new ideas that will be implemented during the project in 2024.
