On November 22, 2024, Khmelnytskyi National University hosted the kick-off working meeting for participants of the European Digital Innovation Hub of Clothing Technology and Textile (CLOTEX-HUB) project.
Khmelnytskyi National University is the coordinator of the consortium (comprising KhNU, NGO "ASTAR", PU "Podilskyi Fashion Cluster", and PU "Khmelnytskyi IT Cluster"), which will implement the CLOTEX-HUB project from 2025-2028.
The project's activities are aimed at increasing the competitiveness of clothing production by small and medium-sized enterprises in the Khmelnytskyi region of Ukraine through digitalisation of clothing manufacturing and the implementation of innovative technologies. CLOTEX-HUB will operate within the apparel factory ecosystem, providing high-value-added services for experimentation, access to training, technological infrastructure, and financial support.
It is worth noting that CLOTEX-HUB is the first hub in Ukraine to join the network of European Digital Innovation Hubs.
The event participants were welcomed by Serhii Matiukh, Rector of Khmelnytskyi National University; Oleh Demchuk, Chairman of the Board of NGO "ASTAR"; Halyna Shvets, Cluster Manager of PU "Podilskyi Fashion Cluster"; and Serhii Yatsyshen, Chairman of the Board of NGO "IT Cluster."
Oksana Zakharovych, CLOTEX-HUB Coordinator and Head of the Research Department at KhNU, provided a general overview of the project.
During the meeting, 8 work packages were presented. These packages are distributed among participants and define the scope of work for the next four years. Workshops were also held on the following topics: "Financial Management and Administrative Aspects of the Project," "Effective Organisation of Service Delivery Processes within Work Packages 4 and 5," and "Communication Strategy and Project Website."
