As part of the ERASMUS+ 3D4U project "3D concepts for fashion education in Ukraine" / "3D concepts for fashion education in Ukraine" on September 4-5, 2024, another working meeting was held on the basis of the Institute of Textile Engineering and Technology of High-Performance Materials at the Technical University in Dresden (TUD), Dresden, Germany.
This project is aimed at the development of innovative technologies in the field of education, in particular, the integration of 3D modelling and the design of fashion products into the system of training future specialists in the fashion industry in Ukraine. The project unites scientists and experts from various European countries who are working on the introduction of modern approaches to the fashion industry.
The meeting was attended by members of the project working group from Khmelnytskyi National University - Tetyana Ivanishena, Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Design, and Tetyana Nadopta, Head of the Department of Fashion Industry in Light Industry. They presented the results of office and field research conducted in Ukraine, in particular, the work of focus groups with the participation of representatives of the academic community and light industry specialists regarding the problems and needs of the development of the fashion industry.
The meeting in Dresden was attended by partners from European countries who participated in the project and have significant experience in using 3D technologies in the fashion industry. They shared their successes in applying such innovations in their educational institutions and expressed their willingness to share their experiences with Ukrainian colleagues.
Also, during the meeting, key stages of project implementation and practical aspects of introducing 3D modelling into the curricula of Ukrainian universities were discussed. Special attention was paid to the development of materials and platforms for training and the purchase of the necessary equipment and appropriate software, which will allow students and teachers of higher education institutions, as well as specialists in the fashion industry, to master 3D technologies for further implementation and development of the industry.
The productive and rich meeting provided an opportunity for all project participants to agree on further steps regarding the development of educational materials and the introduction of 3D technologies into the educational process, the modernization of education and the development of the fashion industry in a global context.
