Learning Without Borders: Busiskills “Wellbeing@Work”

On 10 December, the final meeting within the Busiskills course “Wellbeing@Work” took place.

The Busiskills course organised by the BUSINET Association began on 29 October. It brought together students and lecturers from partner universities across different countries. The classes were delivered in the COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) format – an innovative model of “virtual exchange” that enables participants to work collaboratively in international teams and develop intercultural communication skills without leaving their homes.

Participants in the project represented the following higher education institutions and organisations: Haute Ecole Namur-Liège-Luxembourg - Hénallux (Belgium), Thomas More University (Belgium) and UCLL (Belgium), Igensia HR (France), International Hellenic University (Greece), Avans University of Applied Sciences (the Netherlands), Setúbal Polytechnic Institute (Portugal), and Khmelnytskyi National University (Ukraine).

The theme of this year’s COIL, “Wellbeing@Work”, proved to be highly relevant in the context of today’s global challenges. This interdisciplinary course is a vivid example of effective international cooperation: students worked weekly in mixed international teams and took part in online lectures delivered by guest speakers from various educational and research institutions.

This year, the participants from Khmelnytskyi National University were Ivanna Slobodyaniuk (МН-23-2), Zoriana Koval (ФПА-23), Sofiia Drahomeretska (МЕВ-23), and Yuliia Horobets (ФПА-24). The students represented the university and Ukraine with distinction at the international level and, upon completion of the assessment process, will receive the relevant certificates.

It is also worth mentioning that, within the Busiskills course this year, Larysa Podkorytova, Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy at Khmelnytskyi National University, delivered a practice-oriented online lecture for students and facilitators entitled “Stress. What is it? How to manage it?”. More information is available here:(https://iro.khmnu.edu.ua/persha-lekcziya-hnu-u-busiskills-larysa-podkorytova-pro-upravlinnya-stresom/)

The final stage of the course involved the preparation of team projects. Each student group produced a video presentation of up to ten minutes, compiled a multilingual glossary of terms reflecting the composition of the team, and developed a PR tool in the form of a short video lasting one to two minutes for the BUSINET website and social media platforms, as well as those of the participating universities.

It should be noted that this is not the first successful COIL initiative involving Khmelnytskyi National University. We continue to deepen international cooperation, creating opportunities for students’ professional development and intercultural dialogue.
