From September 19 to 22, Liubov Mahas, Head of the Student Council of the Faculty of International Relations and Law and a master's student in "Germanic Philology and Translation Studies (English and a Second Foreign Language)," represented our university and Ukraine at the international assembly "Youth Vision Assembly 2025." This annual event brings together hundreds of young leaders from various parts of the globe. The goal is to create a platform for discussing current global challenges, finding joint solutions, and strengthening international dialogue among youth.

This year's assembly took place in Amsterdam—a city that has long been a symbol of openness, innovation, and intercultural exchange. Over the course of four days, participants engaged in training sessions, discussions, workshops, and team tasks aimed at developing leadership and diplomatic skills.

Liubov shared her impressions of the event:
“Last week, I had the honour of being part of the Youth Vision Assembly 2025. It was an incredibly inspiring experience to meet so many young, proactive, and talented people from various professional fields. We didn't just discuss the problems facing modern youth; we also jointly searched for practical ways to solve them.”

Throughout the assembly, participants gained valuable knowledge and practical experience in managing crisis situations under different conditions and at various levels. One of the highlights was the live broadcast of the speech by Ziauddin Yousafzai—a renowned public figure, activist for the right to education, and father of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai. He emphasised that education can be the key tool for global change and stressed how peaceful our world could be if politicians more frequently listened to the voice of the young generation.

In addition, the delegates attended a series of lectures dedicated to the fundamentals of diplomacy, the art of negotiation, international relations, and communication in a context of cultural diversity. In team assignments, they were able to demonstrate their leadership qualities, learn to work in multicultural teams, and make effective decisions under time pressure.

“Delegates from over 40 countries were represented at the assembly,” Liubov recounts. “It was a true honour for me to represent not only our university but also Ukraine at such a prestigious international forum. I met many sincere, kind, and thoughtful people, each of whom shared their unique vision for the future. Such meetings are inspiring and instil belief that change is possible.”

In conclusion, Liubov expressed gratitude to the organisers—the Centre for Diplomatic Development—whose dedication and professionalism made the event possible. She also thanked the KhNU International Relations Office for their support and facilitation of her participation.

Khmelnytskyi National University is sincerely proud of its students who so worthily represent our institution of higher education and Ukraine on the international stage. It is thanks to such proactive, goal-oriented, and inspired students that the positive image of the university and the entire country is shaped globally.
