"Personalised model of student learning based on a virtual learning environment of intelligent tutoring ", Learning without limits" (SMART-PL)" is a 3-year project that will last until the end of 2025. It is coordinated by Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia).
The project is being implemented by a consortium of European and Ukrainian universities: Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia), Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium), Wrocław University of Technology (Poland), Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Odessa Polytechnic National University, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Kherson State University, Kryvyi Rih National University, Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance, and Khmelnytskyi National University.
The project budget is €678,270.00.
On January 23–24, 2023, the first orientation meetings with partner participants were held, during which the universities' capabilities were presented, and the project's key tasks were outlined. Khmelnytskyi National University was represented at the event by Tetyana Hovorushchenko, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Information Systems, who is the project coordinator from our institution, and Serhii Lysenko, Professor of the Department of Computer Engineering and Information Systems.
The project aims to implement a personalised learning model based on the virtual learning environment of intelligent tutoring, "Learning without limits." Intelligent tutoring is a set of learning tools: the SMART online platform for virtual personalised learning; a coworking centre with equipment for organising hybrid learning, which increases the effectiveness of the learning process and provides more opportunities for both teachers and students.
The project is divided into seven work packages aimed at implementing and achieving the expected results of the project, namely: project management; development of methodological support for the personalized learning model; development of the SMART online information and diagnostic platform based on the adaptation of an open virtual learning environment; organization of "Learning Without Limits" university coworking centers at each partner university; practical testing of the personalized learning and intellectual tutoring model; quality assurance; dissemination of information about the project (through informational and promotional materials, website and social networks, publications).
Participation in this project will not only ensure close cooperation between Ukrainian and foreign universities in the development of higher education, but will also promote the mutual integration of best educational practices and developments.
