
As part of a cooperation agreement, representatives of Khmelnytskyi National University took part in the international project “Artificial Intelligence in the Management of International Educational Projects and Academic Mobility”, held in Kaluzha (Slovakia) at the Academy of Professional Education “Merkur”.
The KhNU delegation included:
Serhii Matiukh – Rector of Khmelnytskyi National University;
Yevhenii Rudnichenko – Dean of the Faculty of Management, Administration and Tourism;
Yevhen Pavliuk – Dean of the Faculty of Health, Psychology, Physical Education and Sport;
Ihor Zhurba – Head of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management.
The aim of the project was to promote the implementation of innovative approaches to managing international educational projects using artificial intelligence (AI) and digital tools, as well as to expand academic mobility and cultural exchange between universities in Ukraine and Slovakia.
As part of the project, a series of masterclasses, training sessions and workshops were organised, focusing on innovative approaches to managing international educational projects.
Masterclasses:
– “Artificial Intelligence in the Management of Educational Programmes”;
– “Digital AI-Based Case Studies for Academic Programme Coordinators”.

Training sessions:
– “Managing Educational Projects in a Digital Environment”;
– “Soft Skills for Project Managers in an International Educational Context”.
Workshop:
– “Internationalisation of Higher Education: Strategy, Implementation, Monitoring”.
The key outcome of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between Khmelnytskyi National University, represented by Rector Serhii Matiukh, and the Academy of Professional Education “Merkur”, represented by Director Jan Brecko. The initiative was implemented with the active involvement of the deans and the department head, and with the support of Ruslana Zhovtani, Director of the international company “Travel Study Work”.

The Memorandum envisages:
– the development of Ukrainian-Slovak cooperation in higher education;
– academic mobility and internships for students of Tourism and Recreation, and Hospitality Management;
– joint scientific and practical conferences;
– participation in research and cultural programmes.
Khmelnytskyi National University continues to actively pursue international cooperation aimed at enhancing the quality of education, advancing scientific research, and expanding academic mobility.
Collaboration with the Academy of Professional Education “Merkur” opens up new opportunities for students and academics of KhNU, supporting the integration of Ukrainian education into the European educational space.
