Clotex-HUB at the heart of European innovation: Khmelnytskyi National University at the AIRE seminar in Estonia

Representatives of Khmelnytskyi National University took part in the annual AIRE seminar in Estonia.

Oksana Khasanova, a postgraduate student at the Department of Clothing Technology and Design at Khmelnytskyi National University, and Halyna Shvets, an associate professor at the Department of Clothing Technology and Design, who are members of the working group of the international project EDIH Clotex-HUB, took part in an annual seminar organised by the Estonian Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Association (AIRE). The event took place on August 25–26, 2025, at the TalTech Särgiaua training centre (Tallinn, Estonia) and was timed to coincide with AIRE’s 4th anniversary.

This year, AIRE combined the traditional seminar with a meeting of EDIH (European Digital Innovation Hubs), which provided an opportunity for participants to discuss key issues in the development of the European Union's digital infrastructure, the exchange of best practices, and cooperation between scientific institutions, clusters, enterprises, and government agencies.

The event program included: presentations by leading experts from the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, the Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs, and industry representatives; joint EDIH sessions on the role of digital innovation hubs in the European artificial intelligence ecosystem; discussions on the challenges and prospects of implementing artificial intelligence in the public and private sectors; networking events and informal communication.

The event was attended by representatives from various European countries, including Germany, Romania, Ireland, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Finland, Denmark, Estonia, and Ukraine, creating a unique platform for international dialogue and cooperation.

During the seminar, representatives of Khmelnytskyi National University actively established professional ties, exchanged contacts and ideas for further cooperation with colleagues from other countries. This contributed to the expansion of international partnerships and the formation of new areas of scientific research.

In addition to working within the event framework, participants had the opportunity to visit the e-Estonia digitalisation centre in Jõulimäe (Tallinn) and, in their free time, explore Tallinn’s historic part, which helped them become better acquainted with Estonian culture and traditions.

The event served as a platform for presenting Clotex-HUB's activities within the EDIH (European Digital Innovation Hub) initiative. This allowed for discussions on the prospects of new partnerships within EU grant programs, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence applications for industry.

Going forward, Clotex-HUB will continue to focus on implementing intelligent technologies in the economy, expand cooperation with European AI ecosystems, develop new training courses, and initiate joint experimental projects to implement innovations.

We are confident that artificial intelligence is the key to the industry's future, and Clotex-HUB strives to be among the leading participants in this digital transformation.
