Academic mobility of higher education students in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the Technical University of Liberec (Czech Republic) is an important stage in the professional development of students in the educational programme “Chemical Technologies and Engineering” and in integrating best European practices into the department’s educational process. In accordance with the Erasmus+ programme 2023-1-CZ01-KA171-HED-000128535, Zoriana Chereshnia, a master’s student of the educational programme “Chemical Technologies and Engineering”, undertook an international traineeship at the Technical University of Liberec from 13 October to 13 December 2025.

During the period of academic mobility, Zoriana Chereshnia, a master’s student in the KhTIm-24-1 group, enhanced her theoretical and practical competencies in the field of chemical technologies for cosmetic products, in particular in the technology for dry shampoo production. She became acquainted with the modern laboratory and research facilities at the Technical University of Liberec, investigated the properties of cosmetic ingredients, and collected experimental data for her Master’s qualification thesis.

Cooperation with a leading European technical higher education institution contributed to improving the quality of the scientific outcomes of the master’s student of the educational programme “Chemical Technologies and Engineering” and to expanding her professional competencies. The implementation of the academic mobility programme included gaining practical experience in applying laboratory methods to the preparation, characterisation, and evaluation of cosmetic formulations. Particular attention was paid to the use of modern analytical technologies to assess the physico-chemical, functional, and organoleptic properties of cosmetic products.

During the academic mobility, competences in the critical analysis of experimental data, the optimisation of formulation, and the development of scientifically substantiated conclusions were developed. A separate area of work involved the development, preparation, and optimisation of solid shampoo prototypes under laboratory conditions, as well as the application of innovative methods for their characterisation to assess foaming capacity, texture, and stability.

An important component of the international traineeship was also active participation in cultural and educational leisure activities organised by the student community. Zoriana Chereshnia participated in intercultural meetings and sports activities with students from various countries, which contributed to the development of intercultural communication, broadened her outlook, and formed skills for effective interaction in an international academic environment.

The scientific results of the academic mobility were presented at the International Conference on Innovation and Research in Science and Technology and integrated into the Master’s qualification thesis, which provided the basis for its successful defence and the awarding of the Master’s qualification under the educational programme “Chemical Technologies and Engineering”.

The knowledge and practical experience gained by Zoriana Chereshnia represent a successful example of international cooperation and the application of best European practices in the education of higher education students in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. We express our sincere gratitude to the representatives of the Technical University of Liberec for their many years of cooperation and support for the Ukrainian academic community.
