Khmelnytskyi National University has once again confirmed its active position in the field of environmental awareness and sustainable development by being included in the prestigious UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025.
UI GreenMetric is a global ranking launched by the University of Indonesia in 2010 that assesses the contribution of higher education institutions to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. The ranking focuses on university policies and practical actions aimed at campus greening, resource management, and integrating environmental research into the educational process.
This year, participation in the ranking increased significantly, with 1,745 universities from 105 countries included worldwide. Ukraine was represented by 33 higher education institutions, reflecting the strengthening environmental focus of the national academic community.
According to the assessment results, Khmelnytskyi National University ranked:
1427th worldwide;
22nd among Ukrainian universities.
The UI GreenMetric ranking evaluates university performance across six key areas: setting and infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste management, water resources, transportation, and environmental education and research.
Participation in this ranking confirms that Khmelnytskyi National University not only provides high-quality educational services but also fosters a culture of environmental responsibility among students and staff.
The achieved results reflect systematic efforts and shared responsibility of the university community in creating a safe, comfortable, and sustainable educational environment.
