Khmelnytskyi National University once again confirms its strong scientific potential on the international stage! We are pleased to announce that our university has been included in the global Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026, developed in partnership with Schmidt Science Fellows.
This year, the ranking became the largest in its history, with 1,267 universities submitting applications. Ukraine is represented by 38 universities, including Khmelnytskyi National University, which has been awarded “Reporter” status.
For our university, this represents a significant step forward. The “Reporter” status indicates that KhNU has already met the key requirements of the ranking and is at a stage of active development and strengthening its scientific capacity.
This year, the Interdisciplinary Science Rankings methodology underwent significant expansion. For the first time, in addition to STEM fields, the humanities, social sciences, and clinical disciplines were included in the assessment. This approach enables a comprehensive evaluation of universities’ potential in advancing science at the intersection of various fields. The ranking assesses universities across three key areas:
Inputs – funding and support for interdisciplinary initiatives;
Processes – infrastructure, research conditions, and administrative support;
Outputs – quality and impact of interdisciplinary publications, citations, and international reputation.
The inclusion of Khmelnytskyi National University in this prestigious global ranking is not only recognition of the work already accomplished, but also a strong motivation to move forward. We are proud of our faculty members, researchers, and students who contribute every day to building a competitive, modern, and collaboration-oriented scientific community.
Khmelnytskyi National University is confidently moving toward international recognition and a достойне place among the world’s leading universities!
