Clotex-HUB at Kyiv Fashion: how innovation is changing the garment industry

From July 30 to August 1, 2025, Clotex-HUB became part of one of the key events in the Ukrainian fashion industry, the Kyiv Fashion international exhibition.This event brought together manufacturers, designers, educational institutions, and technology startups working at the intersection of fashion and innovation. For Clotex-HUB, participation in the exhibition was not only an opportunity to present itself, but also a platform for establishing new connections, exchanging experiences, and promoting the digitalisation of the light industry.

The main goal of the hub is to provide companies in the industry with access to modern digital solutions: from 3D clothing design to automated production lines, testing new technologies, and implementing innovative business models.

This time, the Clotex-HUB team presented a series of workshops in the exhibition centre’s lecture hall, consisting of three blocks:

Block 1. METHOD OF DIGITIZING PATTERNS WITHOUT THE USE OF PERIPHERAL DEVICES

Speaker – Olesia Ditkovska, PhD in Technology and Design of Garments, Communication Manager of the project.

Block 2. PAPERLESS CUTTING TECHNOLOGIES

Speaker – Halyna Shvets, PhD in Technology, Associate Professor of the Department of Technology and Design of Garments at Khmelnytskyi National University, cluster manager of the Podil Fashion Cluster.

Block 3. FEATURES OF PREPARING A FILE FROM Clo 3D FOR CREATING A HOLOGRAM

Speaker – Oksana Zakharkevych, Head of the European Digital Innovation Hub EDIH "Clotex-Hub," Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Technology and Design of Garments, Head of the Research Department at Khmelnytskyi National University.

The target audience was young designers, clothing designers, students majoring in Light Industry Technologies, fashion visualizers, and businesses working with 3D technologies. The format consisted of lectures and practical demonstrations. After attending three blocks of workshops, the target audience gained a comprehensive understanding of modern digital tools that are transforming traditional processes in the light industry.

Participants deepened their knowledge of digitalisation in the garment industry, learned how to implement the latest technologies in their own production, and will be better able to adapt to European standards for innovative development.

The Clotex-HUB stand at the exhibition attracted a large number of visitors, including entrepreneurs, teachers, students, and partners. The following were presented:

  • demonstrations of digital services: augmented reality, digitisation of patterns, paperless cutting, working with Clo3D and holograms, and modern equipment for manufacturing products;
  • examples of cooperation with universities and companies in the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies;
  • consultations on obtaining hub services – from digital maturity diagnostics to equipment selection and staff training.

This format allowed companies to see, in practice, how innovations can be integrated into the production process at minimal cost and with high efficiency.

For Clotex-HUB, the exhibition was an important step in expanding its partner network, promoting its services to SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises), and raising awareness of the benefits of digital transformation in the light industry. New contacts, ideas for cooperation, and requests for pilot projects are already turning into concrete initiatives.

As part of its mission to support the digitalisation and development of the light industry, the European digital innovation hub Clotex-HUB provided the sewing company SPARK SEWING EQUIPMENT LLC with a unique opportunity to present modern production equipment at the hub's stand during the international exhibition.

Thanks to this initiative, the company received space at the Clotex-HUB branded stand to demonstrate its own technological solutions, participate in the hub's communication campaign, and gain access to a professional target audience, including manufacturers, designers, distributors, and educational institutions.

Presenting the equipment at a prestigious industry venue enabled the company to strengthen its market presence, establish new business contacts, and highlight the innovative potential of the Ukrainian light industry.

Clotex-HUB will continue to support companies in the industry by creating conditions for them to demonstrate their technologies, integrate digital solutions, and enter new markets.

Clotex-HUB plans to continue participating in industry events, including international exhibitions, educational forums, and startup competitions. Such presence allows not only to represent Ukraine in the European digital space, but also to actively shape the modern image of the light industry.
