International Relations Officer took part in International Staff Training Week at Vytautas Magnus University

From May 5 to 9, 2025, Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania, hosted its annual International Staff Training Week. This event aims to foster international cooperation among higher education institutions, exchange experiences, and discover new approaches to organising the educational process. Oleksandra Fishchuk, a specialist from Khmelnytskyi National University's International Relations Office, represented the university at this event.

This year's event brought together over 40 participants from various countries worldwide. The program began with a welcoming reception and introductions, during which each participant briefly presented their institution. One of the most vibrant events was the international fair, where participants showcased their national culinary traditions, treating colleagues to authentic snacks and dishes.

During the week, a series of seminars on "Happiness at work" were held, focusing on maintaining emotional and mental well-being in a professional environment.

Additionally, participants had the opportunity to visit specialised laboratories at Vytautas Magnus University and familiarise themselves with innovative approaches to working with students with inclusive needs. Among the technological novelties presented during the training week was the eye-tracking system—a modern tool that records and analyses eye movements, actively used in scientific research, education, and psychological diagnostics.

The cultural program included introductory excursions around Kaunas, visits to the Vytautas Magnus University campus, and its botanical garden. Participants also had the chance to immerse themselves in Lithuania's historical and cultural heritage by visiting the Vytautas the Great War Museum and the M. K. Čiurlionis National Museum of Art.

Participation in the international training week allowed for establishing new professional contacts and exchanging experiences with representatives from leading European universities. Such events play a crucial role in developing academic mobility, integrating into the global educational space, and fostering intercultural dialogue.
