Academic mobility of teachers and students of Khmelnytskyi National University

On March 19-25, 2023, teachers and students of Khmelnytskyi National University, together with other representatives of the academic community (in particular, Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University (coordinator from Ukraine), Kherson State University, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, Pereiaslav Hryhorii Skovoroda University) took part in the academic mobility program, organized by Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland.

On invitation, the Summer Language School "International Polonist Studies" was attended by Associate Professor of the Department of Slavic Philology N. M. Torchynska, Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Philology M. M. Torchynskyi and students majoring in "Secondary Education. Language and Literature (Polish)" Hnatiuk Karina (SOP-22), Boyko Anastasia (SOP-21), Karapoziuk Uliana (SOP-20) and a master's student majoring in "Philology. Slavic languages and pieces of literature (including translation), first language - Polish" Marina Podolska (FPPm-22).

The program of the Language School was vibrant. The participants had the opportunity to listen to various lectures (on the history of linguistics and the Polish language, the history of Poland, and Polish-Ukrainian linguistic influences), join practical classes in Polish, participate in workshops and discussions on personal growth, the importance of intercultural communication in the current conditions of European integration, the peculiarities of everyday and academic language etiquette, the existence of intercultural stereotypes, etc.

Professor Malgorzata Rybka and Professor Marta Wrzesniewska-Pietrzak conducted an engaging binary workshop on academic language etiquette and stereotypes in language culture.

The excursion to Adam Mickiewicz University and meeting with the Faculty of Polonistics and Classical Philology leadership were exciting and valuable. During the latter the elements of the latest WFPiK UAM research and projects were presented, and it was proposed to deepen cooperation to internationalize the education of the two countries.In particular, students of different levels were offered to join student exchange programs, semester and year-long study programs with subsequent transfer of credits to Ukrainian universities, Erasmus+ programs, and double degree programs.

All participants of the Summer Language School "International Polonist Studies" received certificates.

We are sincerely grateful for the opportunity to participate in the academic mobility program to the administration of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan and to the teachers who shared their experience, knowledge, and skills. Special thanks to the coordinators - Kostiantyn Mazur from UAFM and Ihor Kryvosheia from Pavlo Tychyna State Pedagogical University , the owners of the palace in Dębin, where the Summer Language School was held, as well as to all participants from educational institutions in Pereiaslav, Uman, Kharkiv, and Kherson.
