Delegation of the Municipal District of Prague 6 at Khmelnytskyi National University

On September 29, 2024, a delegation from the Municipal District of Prague 6 led by the mayor of the municipality, Jakub Starek, visited the Khmelnytskyi National University. Together with him, Zdenek Glinskyi, adviser on finance, and Ondzej Matei Grubes, adviser on transport, were included in the delegation.

Rector of the University Serhii Matyukh welcomed the guests. He emphasized the importance of cooperation between the educational and scientific institutions of Ukraine and the Czech Republic. During the meeting, the prospects for the development of cooperation in the fields of scientific research, technology, and student exchanges were discussed.

The head of the international relations department, Lyudmila Remishevska, gave a presentation to the guests, introducing them to the structure of the University, its achievements and active projects. She focused on current initiatives, the development of the latest technologies, cooperation with international partners, and the potential of joint educational and scientific programs that can bring mutual benefit to both parties.

After that, the delegation was invited to inspect several research centres at the university. Oleg Polishchuk, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Transport and Architecture and Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Industrial Mechanical Engineering and Agricultural Engineering Vyacheslav Kharzhevsky showed the SOLIDWORKS Center, where training and scientific research takes place using modern engineering software products.

Associate Professor of the Department of Machines and Apparatus, Electromechanical and Power Systems Pavlo Maidan led the guests to the SIEMENS Educational and Scientific Center for Automation Systems and Electric Drives, where he introduced them to modern technologies of automation and electric drives that are used in the educational process and research work.

The head of the cyber security department, Yuriy Klyots, presented the Scientific and Educational Cyber ​​Security Center, where cyber security specialists are trained, and solutions are developed to protect information systems from cyber threats.

The delegation also visited the Scientific and Educational Laboratory of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and the Laboratory of Physical Therapy, which were presented by Yevhen Pavlyuk, Dean of the Faculty of Health, Psychology, Physical Culture and Sports, and Oleg Bazilchuk, Head of the Department of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. They showed the guests modern equipment for rehabilitation and methods used in the educational process for training highly qualified specialists in the fields of physical therapy and occupational therapy. Representatives of the delegation noted the importance of such centres for improving the quality of rehabilitation and providing assistance to patients.

The visit ended with a productive discussion of prospects for further cooperation in the fields of education, science and technical innovations.

We hope to establish close ties with the universities of Prague 6, which will open new perspectives for joint scientific research, exchange of students and teachers, as well as the implementation of joint projects aimed at the development of innovations and improvement of the educational process.
