From May 20 to 23, 2026, Valerii Martyniuk, Professor of the Department of Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics at Khmelnytskyi National University, and Oleksandr Sporyi, Assistant Lecturer of the department, participated in the prestigious International Conference on Innovations in Decarbonisation of Buildings and Energy Systems (INNOBuild2026), held at Bialystok University of Technology in Bia\u0142ystok, Republic of Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n

The conference brought together leading researchers, engineers, and experts from various countries to discuss the global challenges of Energy 4.0, renewable energy sources, and decarbonization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Researchers from Khmelnytskyi National University, in cooperation with Tomasz Kalaczy\u0144ski from Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology, presented a joint scientific paper entitled \u201cControl of Two-Axis Solar Trackers Based on Digital Twins in Autonomous Energy Systems.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentation attracted considerable interest among participants of the Renewable Energy Integration and Smart Systems section. The research focused on the cyber-physical control of solar trackers using a microservices-based architecture incorporating computer vision and digital twin technologies. The proposed solution enables optimisation of the energy balance and ensures an uninterrupted power supply for autonomous facilities, including mobile polymer waste processing complexes, even under critical winter conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n

Following their successful presentation and the promotion of KhNU\u2019s scientific achievements on the international stage, Valerii Martyniuk, Oleksandr Sporyi, and Tomasz Kalaczy\u0144ski received official conference participant certificates signed by the Chair of the Organizing Committee, Professor Dorota Anna Krawczyk.<\/p>\n\n\n

Participation in events of this level contributes to the integration of Khmelnytskyi National University into the European research area, the development of international academic mobility, and the commercialization of advanced domestic developments in the fields of robotics and alternative energy.
