From May 4\u20136, 2026, Anastasiia Zarzhytska, a leading specialist of the International Relations Office of Khmelnytskyi National University, participated in three international events organised within the Study in Europe initiative in Chi\u0219in\u0103u. The events brought together representatives of universities, national Erasmus+ offices, educational agencies, and international organisations from across Europe to develop cooperation in higher education and promote European educational opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n

The first event was the EU Policy Event, dedicated to current trends in international education cooperation, the role of the Erasmus+ program, and support for the integration of partner countries into the European Education Area. During the event, participants discussed new approaches to university internationalisation, mechanisms to support academic mobility, and prospects for higher education institutions' participation in European educational initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n

On May 5, Anastasiia Zarzhytska joined the Contact-building seminar \u2014 an international networking seminar organised to establish partnerships between universities from European Union countries and Eastern Partnership states. The program included presentations of Erasmus+ opportunities, practical sessions on initiating international cooperation, panel discussions on the challenges of internationalisation, and a series of bilateral matchmaking meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During individual meetings, the KhNU representative discussed with representatives of the Transport and Telecommunication Institute, the University of Technology Nuremberg, BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, the University of Granada, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The parties discussed prospects for developing academic mobility, implementing joint international projects, and participating in Erasmus+ and other European initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n

The final event was the international education exhibition Study in Europe Fair. The fair featured universities and educational organisations from Germany, France, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Spain, Latvia, Estonia, Slovakia, and other countries. Participants had the opportunity to explore English-taught bachelor\u2019s, master\u2019s, and PhD programs, admission requirements for the 2026\u20132027 academic year, and features of studying in different European countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participation of Khmelnytskyi National University representatives in the Study in Europe events contributed to expanding the university\u2019s international contacts, finding new partners, and strengthening cooperation between KhNU and European higher education institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n

It is also worth noting the atmosphere of professional support and cooperation among Ukrainian higher education representatives during the events in Chi\u0219in\u0103u. Ukrainian participants had the opportunity to get acquainted, exchange experience in implementing international projects, discuss current challenges facing the Ukrainian higher education system, and share practices of supporting international activities of universities under wartime conditions. A significant coordinating and communication role was played by the coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, Svitlana Shytikova, who facilitated networking among participants, supported Ukrainian universities during networking sessions, and emphasised the importance of actively using international opportunities for the development of Ukrainian education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
