From 13 to 17 April 2026, lecturers of the Department of Fashion Industry in Light Industry, within the framework of the Erasmus+ project No. 101128856 \u201c3D Concepts for Fashion Education in Ukraine \u2013 3D4U\u201d (ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE), conducted a specialised five-day professional development training course. The programme was attended by 18 teaching staff members \u2013 lecturers and vocational training instructors from professional education institutions in Khmelnytskyi and Vinnytsia regions. The training sessions took place at the department\u2019s 3D4U Digital Educational Hub, where participants mastered modern technologies actively implemented in the global fashion industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training programme was delivered by participants of the international Erasmus+ project \u201c3D Concepts for Fashion Education in Ukraine \u2013 3D4U\u201d, who have experience of internships at the project\u2019s European partner universities: International Hellenic University, Technical University of Dresden, and Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Ia\u0219i.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of the training was to disseminate modern digital technologies for design and prototyping in the fashion industry, as well as to enhance the digital competencies of teaching staff at vocational education institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first training module, dedicated to the application of 3D scanning technologies in the fashion industry, was delivered by Associate Professor Oksana Mykhailovska, Candidate of Technical Sciences, and Associate Professor Halyna Lobanova, Candidate of Technical Sciences. During the sessions, participants explored the possibilities of using 3D scanning to create digital models of the human body and fashion industry objects, and completed practical tasks involving this technology for product prototyping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Topics related to additive technologies and the integration of 2D and 3D approaches in fashion design were presented by Associate Professor Tetiana Ivanishena, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Dean of the Faculty of Technologies and Design. Within this module, participants examined the potential of 3D printing in the fashion industry and completed practical work creating a design prototype. The practical component of the training was supported by lecturer Oleksandr Kuntsov, who provided guidance during the completion of individual project tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The module dedicated to digital product design was delivered by Associate Professor Anna Selezniova, Candidate of Technical Sciences, and Associate Professor Tetiana Nadopta, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Head of the Department of Fashion Industry in Light Industry. Participants explored the capabilities of the ICad 3D+ software for the digital modelling of light-industry products and completed a practical task to design a model of everyday footwear in a digital environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Training in three-dimensional garment modelling was conducted by lecturer Olena Andrieieva, who presented the capabilities of the modern Browzwear VStitcher system for creating digital product prototypes. Participants became familiar with the software's main tools and conducted practical work developing a 3D model of a product in a virtual environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final training module focused on the use of artificial intelligence in the fashion industry. It was delivered by Tetiana Nadopta and Tetiana Ivanishena, who examined contemporary approaches to integrating AI technologies into the process of creating fashion products. As part of the practical component, participants developed a mini-collection concept using artificial intelligence tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon completion of the training, each participant received a certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to its participation in the 3D4U project, Khmelnytskyi National University continues to actively develop modern digital design infrastructure and create new opportunities for training competitive specialists in the fashion industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
