From May 26\u201331, 2025, a regular working meeting and 3D4U capacity-building training were held at the \u201cGheorghe Asachi\u201d Technical University of Iasi, Romania, as part of the ERASMUS+ 3D4U project \u201c3D concepts for fashion education in Ukraine.\u201d Participants from Khmelnytskyi National University included Oksana Mykhailovska, project working group coordinator, and working group members: Tetiana Ivanishena, Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Design; Tetiana Nadopta, Head of the Fashion Industry in Light Industry Department; and Halyna Lobanova and Anna Selezniova, Associate Professors of the Fashion Industry in Light Industry Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project aims to develop the professional competencies of educators, explore progressive educational practices and innovative teaching methods, particularly in 3D modelling and fashion product design, and establish partnerships with European universities and international research centres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the capacity-building training, the educators gained detailed insights into modern automated software for designing footwear and accessories. They attended a lecture on aromatherapy textiles and even participated in a small experiment to determine skin hydration levels using laboratory methods. A lecture and experimental studies on the force interaction between the foot and the support surface were exceptionally interesting, with results that allow for a comprehensive assessment of the physical condition of our feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most importantly, they were involved in studying practical and theoretical research on 3D concepts, which contributes to a deeper understanding of modern technologies and trends in footwear manufacturing and the fashion industry as a whole. These technologies open new horizons for modelling, visualisation, and product adaptation, allowing for the combination of creativity with precision and efficiency, and ensuring the sustainability of the fashion industry production. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The educators also had the unique opportunity to visit training workshops where students perform practical tasks related to footwear and textile manufacturing. During the visit, the technical equipment of the classrooms, which ensures a high level of training for future specialists, was thoroughly inspected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, discussions with partners covered the specifics of the educational process and the nature of lecturers' work at the institution, expanding professional contacts for scientific cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the final stage of the meeting, Seul Arina, a project participant from TUISI, shared her personal experience and, along with her colleagues, discussed their work on numerous educational projects and collaborations with international partners regarding the development of theoretical materials and learning platforms. Most of these developments are aimed at mastering 3D technologies in the fashion industry, fostering economic sustainability, and simultaneously attracting prospective students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The educators at \"Gheorghe Asachi\" Technical University of Iasi take a highly creative approach to career guidance. For instance, in collaboration with international partners, they have developed interactive games for schoolchildren that gradually introduce them to the profession, instilling a sense of style, fashion, and simply good taste. Some of their projects were also showcased through fashion, footwear, and accessory collections at a national fashion festival and received recognition on television in partner countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the internship, there was an opportunity to become better acquainted with the cultural and educational environment of Iasi. One of the most memorable moments was a city tour and a visit to the \"Gheorghe Asachi\" Technical University Library (Biblioteca Tehnic\u0103 \"Gheorghe Asachi\"). The library is housed in a historic building and impresses with its exquisite interior. The main reading room is particularly striking\u2014a true architectural masterpiece with enormous bookshelves that create an atmosphere of comfort and academic concentration. This library is rightfully considered one of the most beautiful not only in Romania but also in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are sincerely grateful to the ERASMUS+ 3D4U project partners from \"Gheorghe Asachi\" Technical University of Iasi for the warm welcome and friendly atmosphere.
