We are delighted to announce that Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Kateryna Skyba, has taken part in the Businet Virtual Spring Workshop on April 17, which marks the beginning of a compelling discussion on the topic of \"AI Ethics: From Algorithms to Human Impact\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop was led by esteemed guest speaker, Pieter van Boheemen, who heads the AI & Ethics program at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. During the keynote talk, participants had the opportunity to delve into the ethical implications of AI development and\ndeployment, with a special focus on how AI impacts society and Higher Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. van Boheemen's keynote talk shed light on the fact that AI is not just a mere tool, but rather a force that redefines professional practices. The talk explored future scenarios and AI strategies, providing valuable insights into how to effectively deal with the impact of AI on\nsociety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of particular interest was the discussion on how to ensure that AI is aligned with human\nvalues and respects human rights, including the responsible use of tools like ChatGPT. The workshop emphasized the importance of ethical considerations in the development and implementation of AI technologies, and the need for robust AI governance frameworks to safeguard against potential biases and discriminatory outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
